Nicholas Harry is our Head Chef and responsible for running the kitchen that produces all food served at Kents Hill Park; everything from bacon rolls to fine dining.
He began his career cooking in the kitchens of prestigious hotels and for prominent catered events. An impressive catalogue of achievements under his belt include catering for Her Majesty’s garden parties at Buckingham Palace and at Althorpe where he had the pleasure of catering for the wedding of Earl Spencer, whose guest list included the Dali Lama.
Nicholas joined us last year and immediately began the reinvention of our menus. He has drawn heavily from his practice of fine dining, combined it with an expertise in catering for large numbers and created an entirely new dining experience that boasts innovative combinations and sensational flavours. Nicholas embraces the diversity that working at Kents Hill Park offers; no two days are ever the same and he relishes the challenge of leading a brigade of equally vibrant and passionate colleagues toward the common goal of producing a great food.
Nicholas recently competed against 19 other Chefs in the Conference Centres of Excellence Chefs Challenge alongside Duty Manager Paul Mott. Nicholas beat the competition to be named Champion Chef and Paul was in turn awarded Food Service Champion. They both went on to win the team award.
Nicholas invites you to the main restaurant to indulge in his new seasonal menu and is exited to offer his new banqueting menu for you private events.
